Congressman says Postal Service Reform Act would save almost $50 billion
U.S. Rep. Bill Pascrell is calling on the Senate to pass the Postal Service Reform Act. The congressman made the call Wednesday after touring the Postal Service’s Lyndhurst facility which processes free at-home COVID-19 tests. He said the bill would save the Postal Service nearly $50 billion by eliminating a pre-funding mandate for its pension system and rolling retirees’ benefits into Medicare.
