The IRS says it will be able to process stimulus payments faster this time around.

Your bank account may get a little boost next week. Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin told CNBC that some taxpayers will be receiving their $600 stimulus payments next week. As part of the new economic relief package approved by Congress, everyone is supposed to get their payment by mid-January.
