- Whoa!
I almost didn't see you.
- Yeah, I'm smaller than a planet.
- Wait, you're not a planet?
- No way, I'm just a Moon.
I orbit Earth while she orbits the Sun.
The Sun, the Earth, and I worked together to put on a show for all the people down there.
The Sun provides me light as I orbit the Earth, so I get to shine brightly in the sky, but sometimes the Earth blocks our light, giving me a few days to rest from all of my shining.
Just like how the Sun tells the people, what time of day it is, how much of my face is in shadow helps him know what time of the month it is.
- Earth sounds great.
